They say, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and I completely disagree.

This is a love letter to Black women who have been strong for far too long.

I am tired of being strong.

The Strong Black Woman trope is a label I am really familiar with.

Sadly, this label has been the death of so many of us (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually).

We are overworked, undervalued, depressed, chronically ill and riddled with stress.

I wrote this song because I am tired of being strong.

I am surviving and being praised for being stressed, but I want to thrive in safety and peace.

I want this song to serve as a reminder to the "strong" ones out there that you deserve support, peace, safety, community, love, well-being, wealth, nourishment and EVERY good thing.
